   Chenonceau : Chenonceau - stretching across the river Cher, is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the Loire castles. At Chenonceau Castle, the flower display in every sumptuously furnished room adds to its elegance. The room of Five Queens, the living room of Louis XIV, the grand gallery overlooking the River Cher, fabulous kitchens constructed in the piers of the bridge, the Green Cabinet of Catherine de Medici...Step by step, Chenonceau takes you back in time to share its dreams and reveal its secrets.. Every evening from July 1st to August 31st, 2015(from 9.30pm to 11.30pm) you can discover illuminated gardens. In July and August, you can also hire a boat for a pleasant trip on the river Cher.
    Villandry :The highlight of this castle is its oustanding gardens. Considered by many people to be some of the best gardens in France a visit is a must. The chateau itself is also interesting and has recently been extensively restored. On June 6th and 7th 2015, don't miss "Meet us in the Gardens". On July 3rd and 4th, 2015 - "Nights of a thousand fires" - the gardens will be lit up by 2000 candles and brought to life by musical entertainments.
    Azay-le-Rideau :This beautiful chateau sits on its own little island in the Indre river. Built in the early 16th century, Azay was one of the very first truly Renaissance chateaux to be built in France. It is now one of the most visited chateaux in the Loire Valley.
    Azay-le-Ferron : Although not so well known as the larger chateaux Azay-le-Feron is only 10 minutes from your gite and is well worth a visit. The interior has been well furnished and outside the gardens include an amazing display of topiary. Open from March 29th, 2015 on.
    Clos Lucé : Discover the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci; his spirit is everywhere in Clos Lucé Château - Amboise - An extremely interesting place to visit. July 26th and 27th, 2015 - "Marignan - 1515-2015".
